Setting up shop…

I’ve decided to start up this blog format for my (slowly) ongoing Cyberpunk setting. The idea is that if I have this set up I might be a little more motivated to finish off the notes for it. If this does actually happen, and don’t hold your breath on that score, a dedicated website should follow.

So the plan is that I’ll upload stuff as posts and people can comment on them if they want. If that does happen, I’ll know what people are more interested in and where I need to do more work. Or at least that’s the theory.

The posts will be tagged up or filed or whatever as either “Draft” or “WIP”. Draft means that I’m moderately happy with it, WIP means that it may change drastically or disappear completely. But, nothing on here should be considered final!

Let’s see how this works, eh? ;-)

    So far so good.

    Need some content though :)

Might be an idea to decide which grouping you want to run the game for. People have their own ideas of what they want to play. Can be useful to inform what areas you need to actually detail.

Links to content can be found in the right hand pane. I have got more I just didn’t want to put it all up to start with.

Since I’m still working on the setting, getting as much feedback from as wide a group as possible is best. I don’t want to limit the setting itself by writing for one specific group. I don’t want to discount ideas based on whether it fits for one group or another, only on whether it fits the setting. In my opinion, I’ll need to focus in based on people and campaign style when running, but not before.

    Just making it all official…

The Captcha isn’t broken, the first comment made by a person will be held for moderation. After that (if I’ve set it up correctly!) you should be free to post comments without it. Trying to hit the happy medium between weeding out spam, and allowing free commenting ;-)

    Hey,

I’ve emailed you the invite to the DEI Project that Phil Scone ran – might give you some ideas, see what pitfalls there were etc.

Happy to trial this, esp. as it’s not that easy for me to pop over for a game :D

    • Tim says:

      Cheers Chap!

I’ll have a look at Phil’s project when I get home tonight. Although, at the minute I am just working on the setting and I haven’t thought about how I’m going to run it. It’d be nice to try and do things with shiny new techy stuff but…. ya see, it’s distractions like that, that keep me from getting very far with this ;-)

Well I can probably help mod some stuff, esp. as the downtime over-night can help with lags… 24hr service :)

        keep me posted

        • Tim says:

24hr modding might be a little bit premature, I doubt my fan base is _that_ high :-D

I’ll bear it mind though, cheers!

well for me I was able to post up from NZ, but had to wait a night and a day before it got modded… depends on what you’re after… don’t think full time modding will be needed just yet ;)
